About
I'm 67 and running a successful tech startup-you can too!
I've been fortunate in my business career to learn from a lot of very talented and smart people. I worked in Fortune 500 companies, world class small firms, and a number of different startup firms. During my Ph.D. (at age 56) I got to spend 3.5 years reading every book and peer reviewed article I could find on entrepreneurship and accelerating innovation. After completely my Ph.D., I began teaching. I created several new courses on entrepreneurship and environmental science. After starting up a new company in my 60's I realized that many of my peers could do the same but they probably did not have the benefit of all the different stuff that I had done. So I created this website and blog to help others in my age achieve their dream of starting up their own firm.
This blog pulls together key concepts, both practical and academic, to explain how to use the many tools available for start a new firm. For academic concepts, I will introduce the concept then explain why its important. Where I make my own claims, I'll let you know. Where possible, I'll provide links to key books, papers, website, and data that provide more in-depth reading.
Good luck in your next venture and I hope this blog will help you out in some way. Gotta a tough question? Send it in and I'll try to come up with an answer?
